MUSHROOM PARADISE TOFU ©





Tofu is of Chinese origin. Tofu is its Japanese name, while in China it is known as doufu and it is also a part of East Asian and Southeast Asian cuisine such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, Vietnamese, and others. Tofu is a staple in the cusines of many Asian countries.

Although only found in Asian food markets, this seemingly bland food can take on the flavor of its surrounding ingredients making it a highly versatile as well as highly nutritious part of a healthy diet. Tofu is a highly protein-rice food that is made from the curds of soybean milk. Off-white in color, it is usually sold in rectangular blocks.

There are many different varieties of tofu, including fresh tofu and tofu that has been processed in some way. Tofu has a flavor and can be used in savory and sweet dishes. It is often seasoned or marinated to suit the dish.


For this preparation, firm tofu is fried in oil until both sides turn crisp and brown. A mixture of variety of mushrooms are braised with ground beef over low fire, and then spread over the fried tofu.



Ingredients and Preparation for 4

 Prepare by slicing:-

onions, chili, garlic, carrots, green onions, and any varieties of mushroom: fresh mushrooms, straw mushrooms, bell mushrooms.

Prepare - 1 large pcs fresh firm texture tofu





Prepare 1 lb ground beef.














Cooking Steps

Prepare by saute sliced Firm Tofu in 5 tbs cooking in a skillet in medium heat. Add 1/2 tbs salt into hot oil before adding tofu.
Begin, by frying onions, garlic, chilli, carrots in 5 tbs cooking oil in a large skillet in medium heat until fragrant.
Add ground beef and stir-fry with the sauteed ingredients.
 Add all the sliced mushrooms. Combine and stir well.
For flavor, add:- 3 tbs mushroom sauce, 2 tbs beef stock brand, 1/2 tsp pepper.

Continue stirring.

Cover with top, and simmer for 10 minutes over low heat.

Add 1 cup water and  sweet potato flour mixture or wheat flour mixture (1 tbs flour to 1 tbs water)
Place sauteed tofu onto large platter.
Scoop cooked mushroom beef over sauteed tofu, and garnish with green onions.
